This workshop takes a closer look at what it really means to be ready for pointe. We’ll cover the critical physical requirements—like core strength, ankle stability, proper alignment, and balance—and examine the anatomical factors that contribute to safe pointe work. This isn’t just for dancers; it’s a valuable conversation for parents and teachers too., the session emphasises education and communication, helping everyone involved make informed, confident decisions about when and how to begin this important step in a dancer’s training.

Designed for groups of dancers and parents.

Approximately 1.5 hours – format can be tailored to suit your studio’s preferences.

FORME : What’s the Pointe?

A Pre-pointe preparation and information session 

What’s the Pointe? is a short and engaging workshop designed to guide dancers, parents, and teachers through what’s really involved in preparing for pointe work. In just 30–45 minutes, we’ll unpack the pre-pointe assessment process — what it looks like, why it matters, and how it helps dancers progress safely and successfully.

We’ll cover the key elements dancers need — strength, alignment, control — and how to know when you're truly ready. Perfect for dancers, parents, and teachers, this session can be done in person or online.

30 - 45 minutes duration

One on one via zoom or in person: $50.00

Group Session via zoom or in person ( minimum 5 dancers ): $ 25.00 per person

Forme : The Pointe Practice

Each pointe class is carefully tailored to suit the dancer/s level and grade, providing focused support that meets them where they are. With an emphasis on building strength and confidence in pointe work, dancers will work through exercises designed to improve ankle stability, turnout, alignment, and balance.

Designed to complement and run alongside a dancer’s existing coaching, this class offers additional support to help them improve their pointe technique.
